She is a native of Grand Junction, Colorado, and earned a bachelor of science degree from Whitworth College in Spokane before being admitted to the UW Pharmacy School.

Hale completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from
Washington State University prior to entering the University of Washington
School of Pharmacy. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in June
2004, she will be entering the Valley View Clinical Pharmacy Residency
Program in Monroe.

Victoria L. Osborne
The 2002 winner completed her pre-pharmacy requirements at Olympic College in Bremerton and is a 2003 graduate of the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. Prior to entering the pharmacy program, Victoria was a pharmacy technician for the U.S. Navy, a rape crisis intervention volunteer and a HIV-AIDS awareness instructor. As a working parent of two children (ages 8 and 10), Victoria not only completed her degree requirements but also developed and presented lectures to first and third year Pharm.D. students on suicide awareness and prevention. Victoria was voted by the faculty to receive the Roche Pharmacy Communication Award, in recognition of her exemplary communication skills and empathy. She has accepted a position with the Naval Hospital in Bremerton.
