The Kiwanis Club of Northshore joined the Foundation in 1986 to form a unique partnership among the three community service organizations. From its club treasury each year, Kiwanis budgets: $3,000 to offer two, $1,500 academic scholarships for high school graduates, one each, at Inglemoor in honor of former principal the late Si Siverson and at Bothell in honor of former principal Al Haynes. Over the years -- following its initial donation of $5,000 in 1986 -- the Kiwanis Club of Northshore has contributed a total of $32,147 to the Foundation.
Members of the club are active in the interviewing and selection of recipients of the Nick Jewett Baseball/Softball memorial scholarship and the club maintains oversight responsibilities for the following fund:
Les & Vista Anderson memorial
tuition assistance scholarship, with as many as 12 new and renewal grants issued
annually. For
